Recast white speckled benchtop on a black Perth kitchen island

Work · Perth

Same room. New surface. Honest before and after.

Drag to check

We do not pair two afters and call it a transformation.

Every slider is one kitchen. Cream post-formed laminate on the left, the recast on the right. Bayswater, Mount Hawthorn, Subiaco, Cottesloe — the cabinets you already own.

BeforeAfterBayswater

Same room. Same cabinets. Only the surface changed — drag to confirm.

On film

The pour, the wrap, the morning after.

The recast

Same empty Bayswater galley. Laminate leaves. White epoxy stays.

The flood

Self-levelling countertop epoxy, seated with a notched trowel.

The wrap

The coat takes the edge — rolled, square or breakfast bar.

Terrazzo, in sun

Mineral chips under a Floreat skylight.

The edge

A continuous skin from deck to face.

Morning after

Light use the next day. Full hardness over several more.

Doors & hardware

Spray the cabinets. Swap the handles. Same visit as the pour.

Ensuite vanity

Cottesloe recast — not just kitchens.

Edges

Rolled, square, breakfast bar — the pour takes the profile.

A wrapped bullnose is the typical Perth post-formed detail, not the whole Recast story. We encapsulate what you have, or build a thicker square if you want the top to read as a slab.

Wrapped bullnose

Wrapped bullnose

The original curve stays. The flood coat runs over the deck and down the face, curing into one piece. No carpentry, no waste, no square block glued over a round edge. This is the Recast default — and the reason most Perth post-formed tops do not need to be cut.

Built-up square

Built-up square

Want a thicker contemporary arris instead? We can build the edge up before the flood so it reads as a 40 mm slab. Still no silica, still no plumber. Specify it at measure.

Breakfast-bar overhang

Breakfast-bar overhang

Seating sides get the same wrap. Stools tuck under a recast overhang that no longer shows a brown drip-edge every time someone sits down to toast.

Three profiles, one resin

Three profiles, one resin

Wrap, pencil-round, or square — chosen to the kitchen, not to a factory catalogue. The edge is part of the surface, not a strip taped on after.

Beyond the galley

Vanities, laundries, pantries, bars, desks. Not floors.

If it is a tired laminate top on a sound carcass, Recast will take it. Bathrooms in Cottesloe, butler’s pantries in Nedlands, an alfresco servery in Fremantle. Walking surfaces are a different chemistry — we leave them alone.

Kitchens

Perth metro

Kitchens

The core job. Post-formed laminate with a rolled bullnose, still structurally sound, tired of looking it. Recast the top. Keep the cabinets, splashback, hob and sink.

Bathroom vanities

Cottesloe · Mosman Park

Bathroom vanities

A wall-hung vanity recast in white or pale oak under clear coat. Same carcass, new skin. Brass tapware you already bought suddenly has a surface that belongs with it. We do not do floors.

Laundries

Mount Lawley · Maylands

Laundries

The room everyone walks through and nobody renovates. A concrete-grey recast over the old laminate, wrapped bullnose, trough staying put. Hard, wipeable, done in a day.

Butler’s pantries

Subiaco · Nedlands

Butler’s pantries

A terrazzo recast in the back kitchen — the surface guests glimpse when the door swings. Mineral chips, brass rail, no factory print.

Home bars

Mount Lawley · Highgate

Home bars

A pearlescent white recast on a drinks bench. Glass-hard, wipe-clean, a quiet mica shift under lamp light. Cabinets stay. Hardware can change.

Study desks

Nedlands · Dalkeith

Study desks

Pale oak under a clear flood coat as a floating desk. Real timber, glass-hard skin, bullnose you can lean on. Recast is not only a kitchen trade.

Alfresco serveries

Fremantle · Attadale

Alfresco serveries

An outdoor kitchen bench recast in warm concrete grey. UV-stable grade is non-negotiable in a Perth patio. This is a working top, not a floor pour.

Recast refresh

Spray the doors. Swap the hardware. Same visit.

A new top on faded doors still reads as a patch. While the benches are masked we can enamel-spray the cabinets and fit new brass or black handles — the hardware refresh that makes a Mount Hawthorn galley look decided, not halfway. Ask for it on the quote.
